Introducing Nathan D. Richter | Attorney

Nathan D. Richter was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He is a graduate of
Mustang High School (1996), the University of Oklahoma (BS 2000), and
Oklahoma City University School of Law (JD 2007). Before beginning his legal
career, Nathan was a geneticist, and also served in the Oklahoma Army National
Guard. He deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in
2003 where he received the Joint Forces Commendation Medal and other awards.
Nathan has served in a variety of leadership positions. Nathan Co-Founded and
now serves as the Chief Legal Officer of Nature’s Key. Nathan also served as CEO
for Nature’s Key from 2020 to 2023.
Nathan is a trial lawyer, who primarily practices in the area of civil litigation. His practice encompasses all facets of the cannabis industry, from business formations, to legal matters involving the highly
regulated industry, to business dissolutions and other business litigation. He also
has experience litigating complex commercial matters, product liability actions.
Nathan is the former President of the Canadian County Bar Association (2012),
Chairperson of the Oklahoma Bar Association’s Young Lawyer’s Division,
Oklahoma Bar Association Board of Governors, and a Oklahoma Bar Foundation
Board Member. He has served on the OBA Rules and Bylaws Committee, as well
as the Mock Trial Committee and Military Assistance Committee. He now
participates in the OBA Cannabis Committee.
Nathan also has a passion for volunteer work. He is a volunteer with Trinity Legal
Clinic providing pro bono legal services to Oklahoma’s indigent population at
OKC’s City Rescue Mission. Nathan also is the former President and board
member of Youth & Family Services, of El Reno, a youth shelter helping displaced
youth in Oklahoma. Nathan also volunteers with the Lawyers for Heroes program
serving our veterans. Nathan is a member of numerous professional organizations.
Nathan is also a member of Life.Church, Mustang.
In his spare time, Nathan enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and
hunting. Nathan is married to Kristin, and they have two children: Harrison and
Kailyn.
