In commemoration of Women’s History Month, I have asked the staff at Bedlam Law to share a story of a woman, or women, who inspire them. As women, we lead such busy lives. Our daily schedules are packed full of appointments, carpools, kids’ activities, cooking, cleaning, etc. We don’t often enough take the time to uplift and empower other women in our lives as we should. Not because we do not appreciate or admire them, but because “life” happens. So today, I would like to take the time to tell you about the woman who inspires Carol J. Rolke, Esq., Attorney and Counselor at Bedlam Law.
According to Carol, her admiration for Kathy Rolke, her mother in law, is not because of her kind words of wisdom, but by the way she lives her life. “She is one of the most loving people I have ever met. She exudes kindness, patience, and never participates in gossip. You will never hear her speak ill of anyone. She truly lives what she believes. She is a walking beacon of God’s light.”
What an inspiring relationship between a mother and daughter in law! I am certain that every mother in law hopes that their daughter in law feels the same way and that every daughter in law hopes to have a mother in law with those same qualities. While those words alone were touching, the last thing Carol told me about her mother in law, brought a tear to my eye, followed by a giggle. She said, “I hope to be just like her someday, when I finally grow up.”
